 Hannah (Herrington) Barkey was born in Carroll County, Ohio. December 9, 1825 and died at her home in De Kalb County, Indiana, June 15, 1897, aged 71 years 6 months and 6 days. She was married to Christian Barkey, then of Holmes County, Ohio, in 1851 and in the following year they moved to De Kalb County where they have since resided. She leaves a husband, 6 sons, 2 daughters, 14 grandchildren. One son preceded her to the better land. Funeral was at Wayne Center Church. Burial, Kendallville, Indiana. ^ 6-25-1897
