SSN 196-07-5091
Bernard F. was born Boniface Francieczek Jan
STRZELECKI but later changed his name to Bernard F. HUNTER.
In the 1920 census, at the age of 17, Bernard F. is listed as son to the John Strzelecki family. In the 1930 census, however, Bernard F. is listed as head of
his household under the name of HUNTER. He is listed with his wife Catharine and
son, Bernard L. Hunter. It would appear that sometime between the 1920 and the
1930 census either the STRZELECKI family, or Bernard F. alone, underwent a name
change.
