Dear Granddaughter and family. I will try and write you a few lines in
answer to your most kind and welcome letter I received some time ago. I am
not feeling very good and it is snowing just like winter. I wish it would
let up for awhile , any way we have plenty of snow now although it is not
very deep, but it is piled up so much. Rhoda Brink |

Another letter... Yuma Mich. Jan 31, 1926 Dear Granddaughter and family, I will try and write you a few lines in answer to your most kind and welcome letter I received a few days ago. There is not any news so I don’t know very much to write. I am not feeling very good again. I a so short winded that I can hardly breathe by spells and what little work I do, I have to do a little at a time and sit down. I am glad your pa is feeing better I hope he will get along all right now. We have had some awful windy and blustery weather here for a couple of weeks and up till yesterday and today it has thawed a good deal. I hope it keep on till the snow is all gone and I will be glad when it comes spring again for I am so tired of winter. Well Beatrice I am having chicken noodles for dinner and wish you were all here to eat dinner with me for I would like to see all of you. Harrietta had another fire the other night so there is not much left of Harrietta now. I got a letter from your Grandma Fast last night and she is talking of coming up. I hope she does. And I got a letter from Bob and Alfie and they are all well but are having lots of snow. I do not know what I would do if it was not for Norm Taylor and Bill Iarne, if they are darn mean cusses. They both use me good for Norm does all of my writing. He is writing and Bill is reading a book and I am getting dinner by spells. Norm picked and cut up the chickens for me, of course he will have to have a piece for his dinner. Well Beatrice, I guess I will have to ring after this time so will say good bye and write soon. With love to all from your loving Grandma.
